Expression of Interest:

MBRC 2027 Athlete Selection

Thank you for your interest in joining Mt Buller Race Club (MBRC) for the 2027 season.

For the 2027 intake, MBRC will be accepting applications from athletes born in 2019 and earlier.

The majority of our intake is at the U10, U12 and Grom 00/01 levels (generally athletes aged 11 years and under). Applications for athletes born in 2015and earlier (U14, U16, Grom 2 and FIS) will only be considered under special application circumstances.

Applications close at 5:00 pm (AEST) on Wednesday, 12th August.

Late applications may not be considered.


 

Stage 1:

Online Application

To be considered for selection, you are required to complete the online Expression of Interest (EOI) application and upload two recent skiing/riding videos demonstrating your current technical ability.

Required video submissions:

  • Video 1: Short turns - ungroomed preferred
  • Video 2: Free skiing/riding GS turns

Please ensure your videos clearly show the applicant skiing or snowboarding and accurately demonstrate their current technical ability.

All applications and video submissions will be reviewed by MBRC's Technical Director and senior coaching team. Applicants who demonstrate the required technical ability and potential will be invited to progress to the next stage of the selection process.


 

Stage 2:

Invitation-Only In-Person Assessment

Successful applicants will receive an invitation via email to attend the official MBRC Invitation-Only Assessment, to be held on:

🕣 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

Please note that this is an invitation-only event. The in-person assessment will include both an on-snow technical assessment and a dryland physical literacy assessment. Assessment details, including the meeting location, schedule and what to bring, will be provided directly to successful applicants in their invitation email.

Invitations will be issued via email by business close at 5:00 pm (AEST) Tuesday, 18th August.

For scuccessful applicants, a club levy will apply to attend the in-person assessment. This levy contributes to the delivery of the assessment by MBRC's Technical Director and club coaching staff. Further details, including the levy amount and payment instructions, will be provided with the invitation.
