About

Mt Buller Race Club was formed to offer race training programs for young Alpine skiers and snowboarders.  We are a not-for-profit organisation incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act.

Club athletes have the opportunity to participate in several races during the season, including the Buller Cup and the legendary King of the Mountain series, open to both skiers and snowboarders, as well as a range of FIS and SSA sanctioned races for skiers and snowboarders.  During the Winter season we offer:

  • Full-time program – for athletes that live at Mt Buller during Term 3, and a
  • Weekend program – for athletes who wish to participate at the weekends, and a
  • Skier X Friday program – for weekend athletes looking to extend their skills, and a
  • Master’s program – for our athlete’s parents.

In addition to this we have a focus on physical literacy and year-round programs and outside of the Winter season we offer:

  • Christmas camp – normally held in Europe over the school holidays focussing on race skill development, and a
  • Easter camp – an opportunity for athletes to enjoy spring skiing in North America and fine tune their race skills before the Winter program starts.

The Club has its own Clubhouse which is used by the Club staff during the season, for theory training and video analysis, and for some club meetings. The Club also employs it's own General Manager, Technical Director, and Head Coaches for Alpine and Snowboard.
