Season Wrap Up
  Season Wrap Up

This season has been one which we will all put behind us and we will gladly move on to term four with the prospect of easing restrictions and summer holidays to follow. For those that love the snow, next season will be on our door step before we know it and we will enjoy the sensation even more of being in the mountains to ski and snowboard over the winter months.

The constant unknowns and changes put great stress on us all and although there will be lessons learnt and some good that came from it all, we will all be much happier when life starts to return to normal.

No doubt, the resilience , compassion, understanding and empathy we have all developed over this time will be long lasting and keep us in good stead for any further challenges we encounter along the way.

A special thanks to all our members, Buller Ski Lifts, sponsors, Mt Buller Mt Stirling Resort Management and to the coaches and athletes for all the support and contribution as we best negotiated the unknown over the last 7 months to get to this point where we can call a close to the season and look forward to summer and the MBRC program for 2021.

New members for 2021

MBRC have developed a new process going forward for those wishing to join the club for 2021 and replaces our normal requirement of a trial in August to assess suitability to the program for the following year.

This new process applies specifically to siblings of current members and friends of members that may be interested in the program and have not been in a seasonal program at Mt Buller before. This also applies to those that were in Snow Squad for 2020 and want to join MBRC for 2021. If you want to make an enquiry, then please fill out the Questionnaire and please feel free to share this with anyone you know that may be interested.

All current members and those that wished to participate this year but could not attend will automatically get invited to join for 2021 and you will be emailed with further details before the window for membership opens on Monday 23rd November – Sunday 6th December 2020

Details on the membership process can be seen here

Dryland Update
  Dryland Update

MBRC Term 4 Dryland will start on Tuesday 6th October and run until Thursday 3rd December 2020 and we have updated the Physical Training Program (PTP) on the web site with session times. We keep delivering this via zoom until such time as we can again enjoy face to face group training.

Recently we ran a questionnaire that 45 athletes responded to and the feedback from the survey has been valuable in further designing a program for this term. Thanks to all those that completed the survey and to those athletes that participated in the program for term 3.

One of the main differences to dryland for this term is the importance for athletes to start on day one of the program and be present at all or most sessions to progressively become familiar with movements and training structure and to be able to move on to more complex movements after fundamental movements have been mastered. Click here for further details of the program.
